Attorney Jair Novajosky is an experienced prosecutor who left the D.A.’s office to open his own law firm specializing in criminal defense for felonies and misdemeanors, including DUI, assault and robbery. He also specializes in juvenile cases.
By focusing on criminal defense, Attorney Novajosky has gained the specific experience and knowledge necessary to achieve successful outcomes for his clients. His strengths—in addition to his expertise in defense and prosecution cases—include never losing sight of who his clients are, and their sides of the story. Attorney Novajosky is a tireless, powerful advocate for his defense clients.
Attorney Novajosky maintains positive professional relationships with judges, court staff and other attorneys throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. He is well known in the court system in Lackawanna, Monroe, Wayne, Wyoming, Pike, Luzerne, Susquehanna, and Carbon counties.
A graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and The University of Scranton, Attorney Novajosky earned his law degree at Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After graduation, he returned to Northeastern Pennsylvania to start his career and his own family with the values and work ethic that he inherited from his parents. He learned at a young age that hard work and keeping your family close were the keys to a good life.
Attorney Novajoksy’s philosophy of life is reflected in the way he practices law. He understands that people facing criminal charges are more than just names on a complaint or file. They are mothers and fathers, sons and daughters with families of their own. Each has a story to tell, and each is worthy of fair and equitable treatment in the legal system.
Attorney Novajosky fights to protect his clients’ rights just as he would want an attorney to fight for a member of his own family. He personally interviews witnesses, and conducts extensive research, including searches of phone logs and social media, to uncover supporting evidence in their favor.
Criminal Justice has always been the focus of Attorney Novajosky’s career. He served as an Assistant District Attorney, handling all matters of offenses including murder, assault, drug offenses and juvenile justice. He understands the entire criminal process, including how police officers and detectives work, and what judges look for when rendering a decision.
The value of hiring a criminal defense attorney who also has experience in and knowledge of the prosecutor’s perspective is invaluable. When you retain Attorney Novajosky, you put yourself in the best possible position to achieve a positive outcome for your case.
